Skegemog Raptor Center (SRC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit raptor rehabilitation center located in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. Our goal is to increase public awareness about wildlife, ecology, and environmental issues as they relate to raptors.

Our mission is to:

Rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned raptors with the goal of returning them to the wild in a fit and healthy condition

Educate the public about conservation and ecology with a focus on raptors

Participate in research projects that will strengthen our abilities to care for sick and injured birds of prey and our message of environmental conservation

Our staff has over 80 years of combined wildlife rehabilitation experience and holds rehabilitation permits from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the US Fish & Wildlife Service. We are also permitted to possess non-releasable raptors for use in educational programs.

Our founder, James Manley, started the organization in 2021 after following in the footsteps of Wings of Wonder's executive director, Rebecca Lessard, for 15 years.

SRC depends on your generous support to carry on the work of rehabilitating sick or injured birds of prey.
