Last week, a family from McBain was out in their front yard when they noticed something strange in the road.
While they walked to the end of their driveway to get a closer look, they saw not one, but two cars drive directly over the small, strange object. After the cars had passed, they discovered that the object was actually an Eastern Screech Owl and they jumped into action. Once they had rescued this bird, they contacted SRC and transported her to our clinic for care. We are so grateful for their assistance.
This extremely lucky owl is currently being treated for a concussion. She is recovering and we are hopeful to return her to the wild soon!
