Leland Bald Eagle exam

The injured large female Eagle was brought to SRC where an exam was performed by James Manley and Tanya Mouthaan.

We found multiple puncture wounds on her left wing as well as some wounds to her face and feet. These injuries were severely infected and very swollen. It is believed that she must have fought with another eagle and apparently lost the battle. We started her on an anti-inflammatory medication as well as antibiotics. Then we got her tucked in and comfortable for the night.

The cost of the anti-inflammatory and antibiotic medications, in addition to syringes, needles, etc. was about $45. We hope that you will consider making a tax deductible donation to SRC to help with the medical bills required to rehabilitate our patients.
